If you are looking for a BT mouse, look no further. This mouse is a great option for someone who want a BT due to not having enough USB ports. Don't let the cheap price mislead you. I have this mouse for a couple of years and it still works as day one.The compact size of this mouse makes it easy to haul around in my laptop case. The buttons are sensitive enough to make it comfortable to use. The battery compartment is a bit weird because the opening is at the rear end of the mouse instead of the bottom as it usually is located. This makes changing the battery a bit tricky because buttons would keep clicking (from your hand touching them) during the battery changing. Bluetooth connectivity is good and easy to set up. Overall, Logitech knows how to design and produce good pointing devices.Connected to my MacBook Pro with no problems. Haven't dropped a connection in three days. This was a good purchase at least at this point in time. I am a heavy-duty user too. I maintain 15 web pages, as well as my own crap.Seems to work well and battery drain acceptable. Standard size and shape.Using the Logitech M557 Bluetooth mouse on my main laptop which uses Linux (my predominate OS of choice) I found using the scroll wheel as a "middle click" for pasting selected text (which I do very frequently) was driving my wife nuts. I eventually replaced that mouse with the Logitech Pebble M350 Bluetooth mouse, which has a MUCH quieter scroll wheel click and keeps my wife's sanity in check. ;-)This mouse is very durable and comfortable to use, though I found that the two AA batteries it needs last only about a month when using it with an OS (such as Linux) which doesn't support the Logitech app for putting the mouse in "sleep" mode when not in use (available for Windows/Mac) and helps extend battery life by a huge margin. That is why I used rechargeable batteries with this mouse on that laptop, though it has since been delegated for use on my Windows 10 laptop (which only gets occasional use, so in addition with the app the batteries are lasting MUCH longer).Anyway, this mouse is built with quality, is comfortable and has very smooth action... a very nice mouse that will last when regularly used for a long time. I gave it four stars only because the app they provide to extend the battery life is available for Windows/Mac and not Linux, and without it (to put the mouse in "sleep" mode when not being used), battery life suffers greatly. Otherwise it's a great product all overall.Just works.WORKS PERFECTLY, EASY TO SET UP. LIKED SO MUCH AND BOUGHT ONE FOR MY OTHER LAPTOP.Connected to my galaxy tab s plus just fine. Funny looking at a tablet with a cursor....It works well and does exactly what I purchased it forLogitech have ALWAYS made the best mouses... The M557 is no exception. While it says that this product is Mac compatible, it is not. I have tried two of these mouses and neither have worked. The company in fact KNOWS this is an issue as there is a statement on their website. The amazon listing needs to be updated to reflect this! Super unfortunate because I could tell that I was going to like it: it's small, lightweight.I had my first one for over a year and a half and it took a beating as I traveled a lot and it was in and out of my backpack on a daily basis.Despite all that it worked great. I was using it with a surface pro and the bluetooth connection was solid every time. It's very responsive and the sensitivity takes some getting used to, but overall a great mouse. The batteries are supposed to last for an entire year due to the low power consumption of the device, but I probably changed the batteries at least two times in that year and half. So with constant daily use you're not quite getting a year out of the batteries. However, not having to change any batteries for months is really great. I would love a model with a built in rechargeable battery that you would only need to charge once every few months.Recently for whatever reason it suddenly stopped working altogether. Now with that said, I loved it so much I just bought another one and I'm still giving it 5 stars.Mouse works great, just takes a few seconds to “wake up” after remaining unused for a couple of hours (the reason for only 4 stars). This is a true wireless mouse, not having an external USB receiver (however small it may be) is a bonus! This frees up space to use the available USB port for other peripherals like a portable monitor. Appears to have a long battery life.
